Lesson

2

In this lesson, we’ll talk about building a solid foundation for your marketing, rooted in who you are as a company, to ensure all future marketing efforts tie back to business goals.

We’ll walk through a MVP brand development exercise that students can lead within their companies, but that’s lightweight enough to still involve busy stakeholders in the most painless way possible.

Begin the process of creating high-level brand guidelines for your company:

  1. Read the Google Ventures' Three-Hour Brand Sprint article by Jake Knapp.
  2. Email your CEO to get approval. You can use the CEO Buy-In Email Template.
  3. Select the participants (stakeholders) you’d like to invite and email them to schedule the sprint.
You can use the Participants Email Template.
  4. Once the sprint is scheduled, and with at least a week's notice, provide participants with the pre-work instructions.
Use the template Sprint Participants Instructions Template.
  5. Run the sprint with your sprint team!
If running the sprint remotely, you can use the Remote Brand Sprint Boards Template (invite participants to your document).
